On 10th October 2023, SPG Lawyers and Griffith University jointly presented awards for the 27th iteration of the Gold Coast Schools Legal Essay Competition.
SPG partner Tony O’Connor was joined by Judge Bernard McCabe, Deputy President of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Dean of Law Professor Therese Wilson and Deputy Head of Law School Doctor Samuli Haataja.
This year a record number of schools and students were entered in the competition. As usual the quality of essays was outstanding. Congratulations to second runner up Joselene Chen of Somerset College, first runner up Lilly Bennett of Helensview High School and 2023 winner Rebecca Webb of King’s Christian College.
